Primary School Programs
“INventoo,” with aid from OSC, is a 3-year collaboration project with three primary schools to equip teachers and students with STEM resources and knowledge. HKCIN will adopt an intensive ‘train-the-trainer’ approach. Trained teachers with STEM skills will lead a group of students to join a STEM open competition followed by integrating STEM contents to their classes. After the training and trial sessions, each primary school will have a detailed curriculum for the teachers to replicate the same model for 3 more group of students per year.

"STEM Maker in School" (2020-2023)
“STEM Maker in School”, with aid from Operation Santa Claus, is a three-year collaborative project that empowers teachers with resources and knowledge to educate the younger generation. With the focus on Micro:bit and Thunkable.
Micro:bit is a popular pocket-sized microcontroller board that allows young children to learn programming in a handy way. Thunkable is a drag and drop mobile app builder that enables anyone to create their own native apps.
HKCIN will adopt the train-the-trainer approach where trained teachers with STEAM skills will integrate STEAM contents into their classes. After trial lessons and continuous consultancy with HKCIN, the primary schools will have designed a tailored STEAM curriculum that reaches students in two forms per year.
